This study aims to examine the effect of career development and leadership support partially and simultaneously on employee retention. This research method is quantitative. The data of this study were obtained from a questionnaire (primary) by taking 80 employees of the Makassar branch of Bank Mandiri. The data analysis used in this study was Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS 20.0. Which uses the validity test, reliability, normality test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test, coefficient of determination, partial test and simultaneous test.
In the results of the validity and reliability tests, all statements in the questionnaire were declared valid and reliable so they were included in further testing. T test (partial) shows that career development and leadership support have a positive and significant effect partially. The F test (simultaneous) shows that career development and leadership support have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on employee retention at the Makassar branch of Bank Mandiri. And in the coefficient of determination test results obtained R Square the effect of Bank Mandiri employee retention is influenced by career development variables and leadership support. The variable that most dominantly affects employee retention at Bank mandiri Makassar branch is the variable of leadership support.
