This study aims to analyze the effect of individual character, work motivation and extension leadership toward the performance of agricultural instructors at the Agriculture and Food Security Office in Selayar Island.
The study was conducted at the Agriculture and Food Security Office in Selayar Island in July 2020. The study population was all 62 civil servant agricultural extension agents at the Agriculture and Food Security in Selayar Island. Collecting data using the census method. The independent variable in this study was the individual character, work motivation, and leadership of the instructors, while the dependent variable was the performance of the agricultural instructor. This study used a quantitative method. Namely the survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests (normality test, autocorrelation test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test), multiple regression analysis. Hypothesis testing uses the t test, F test, and the coefficient of determination.
The results show that (1) there is a positive and significant effect partially of individual character toward the performance of agricultural extension agents at the Agriculture and Food Security in Office in Selayar Island with tcount = 2.344.

Reject H0, Accept H1 so that the individual character, work motivation and leadership of the instructors have a significant effect on the performance of the agricultural instructor in the Department of Agriculture and Food Security, Selayar Island district. |
