Suhrah. 2021. The Effect of Principal's Democratic Leadership, Work Motivation and Teacher Discipline toward Public Elementary School Teacher Performance in Tanralili District, Maros Regency, supervised by Mashur Razak and Anshar Daud.
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the principal's democratic leadership, work motivation, and teacher discipline on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Tanralili District, Maros Regency.
This study approach used a survey study conducted at Public Elementary Schools in Tanranlili District, Maros Regency in August 2020. The study population was 161 SDN teachers who taught in Tanralil District, Maros Regency, spread across 20 SDNs. The sample selection in this study was carried out using the sampling method, namely using probability sampling with the Stratified Solvin technique and obtained a sample of 65 teachers.
The results show that (1) there is a positive and significant effect of democratic leadership of school principals partially on the performance of Public Elementary School teachers in Tanralili District, Maros Regency, with tcount = 2.079> ttable = 1.99 (2) there is a positive and significant effect on work motivation partially on the performance of Public Elementary School teachers in Tanralili District, Maros Regency, with tcount = 6.604> ttable = 1.99 (3) there is a positive and significant effect of teacher discipline partially on the performance of Public Elementary School teachers in Tanralili District, Maros Regency, with tcount = 2.115> t table = 1.99 (4) there is a simultaneous effect of the principal's democratic leadership, work motivation and teacher discipline on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Tanralili District, Maros Regency, where Fcount = 42.751> Ftable = 2.75. Based on the research results, the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.678 or (67.8%). This shows that 67.8% of teacher performance is influenced by the principal's democratic leadership, work motivation and teacher discipline. Meanwhile, 32.2% is affected by other variables not included in this study model.
