This study aims to determine and analyze (1) the direct effect of organizational culture and work environment on employee motivation at the Penitentiary in Maros Regency (2) the direct effect of organizational culture and work environment on employee performance at the Penitentiary in Maros Regency (3) the indirect effect of organizational culture and work environment on performance through work motivation of employees at the Penitentiary at the Maros Office.
The design of this study used a survey study located at the Penitentiary in Maros Regency from October to November 2019. The population in this study included all 53 staff of the Penitentiary in Maros Regency. Sampling of this study was conducted using a saturated sampling technique (census), which is to determine the entire population as a sample of 53 employees of the Correctional Institution in Maros Regency. The data analysis technique used is path analysis.
The results show that (1) there is a positive and significant effect directly on organizational culture and work environment on the work motivation of employees at the Penitentiary in Maros Regency (2) there is a positive and significant effect directly on organizational culture and work environment on employee performance at the Penitentiary. in Maros Regency (3) there is a positive and indirect effect of organizational culture and work environment on performance through employee motivation at the Penitentiary in Maros Regency.
