Abstract:

This study aims to determine the effect of principal competence, principal leadership, motivation and teacher performance in Kindergarten se Benteng District Selayar Islands Regency.
The research approach used is quantitative. This research was conducted in Kindergarten in Benteng District, Selayar Islands Regency from february to march 2021. The sampling technique was a census with a total of 86 respondents.
The results showed that (1) competence partially has a negative effect on teacher performance (2) Leadership has a significant partially negative effect on teacher performance (3) motivation partially has a positive effect on teacher performance (4) Simultaneously principal competence, principal leadership and motivation have a positive effect on teacher performance in Kindergarten se Benteng District Selayar Islands Regency.
The implication of this research is the need for education and training for school principals and teachers to increase the competence of school principals and teachers in order to realize good and quality teacher performance.
