dc.description.abstract Arman. 2020. The Effect of Leadership Style, Motivation, and Ability on Employee Performance of the Bulukumba DPRD Secretariat, supervised by Mashur Razak and Harlinda. This study aims to analyze (1) the partial effect of leadership style, motivation, and ability on the performance of the Bulukumba DPRD Secretariat employees (2) the simultaneous effect of leadership style, motivation, and ability on the performance of the Bulukumba DPRD Secretariat employees (3) the most dominant variable affect the performance of the Bulukumba DPRD Secretariat staff. The population used in this study were all employees of the DPRD Secretariat of Bulukumba Regency with a total of 46 people, while according to Arikunto (2000) it was stated that if the sample size was less than 100, a sampling quota was chosen, namely only 46 employees. The techniques used for data collection in this study are as follows: List of questions (Questionnaire), namely the technique used by a questionnaire or questionnaire in a way of collecting data by providing and distributing a list of questions to respondents, in the hope that they can respond to the list of questions. . The answer is then scored on a Likert scale. As well as documentation study, namely data collection techniques by reviewing, reading and studying various kinds of books, journals, and information from the internet related to this research. The results showed that the Leadership Style, Motivation and Ability partially had a significant effect on the performance of the employees of the Bulukumba DPRD Secretariat as indicated by the t value of 2.888 Leadership Style is greater than the t table value of 2.697 at alpha 0.05 (df = 1 n = 46) with The value of the coefficient of determination (R2) of Leadership Style is 14.00%, the t value of Motivation is 7.532 greater than the t count of 2.697, with the coefficient of determination (R2) of motivation of 55.30%, and the t value of the ability of 9.908 is greater than t table value 2.697 at alpha 0.05 (df = 1 n = 46), with a coefficient of determination (R2) Ability of 68.30%, leadership style and ability simultaneously have a significant effect on the performance of the employees of the DPRD Secretariat of Bulukumba Regency indicated by the value F count 44,139 is greater than F table 2,840 at alpha 0.05 (df = 2 n = 46) with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 74.30%. As well as the independent variable (X) that dominantly affects the performance of the employees of the Bulukumba DPRD Secretariat is the Ability variable (X3) which is indicated by the t value of 5,723 greater than alpha 0.05, and the coefficient of determination (R2) of 74.30%, or value. The significance of 0.000 is smaller than the alpha value of 0.05. en_US
