dc.description.abstract Hastati. 2020. The Effect of Competence, Individual Characteristics, and Work Motivation toward the Employee Performance at the Social Office of Pangkajene and Islands Regency, supervised by Muhammad Idris and Sylvia Sjarlis. This study aims to analyze (1) the effect of competence, individual characteristics, and work motivation partially and simultaneously toward the employee performance at the Social Office of Pangkajene and Islands Regency (2) the most dominant variable affects the employee performance at the Social Service of Pangkajene and Islands Regency. This study approach is a survey approach. The study was conducted at the Social Office of Pangkajene and Islands Regency from October to December 2019. The population in this study were all employees of the Social Office of Pangkajene and Islands District by 35 people. The sample selection in this study used a saturated sampling technique (census) in which the entire population were being sampled. The sample used in this study were 35 people. The data analysis used is Multiple Regression Analysis and the regression equation obtained as follows: Y = 4.309 + 0.276X1 + 0.247X2 + 0.333X3. The results show that (1) there is a positive and significant effect on competence, individual characteristics, and work motivation partially and simultaneously toward the employee performance of the Social Office of Pangkajene and Islands Regency (2) motivation is the most dominant variable affects the employee performance of the Social Office in Pangkajene and the Islands Regency. This study also found that the independent variables including competence, individual characteristics, and work motivation contributed to the employee performance of the Social Office by 65.0%, while the remaining 35.0% is affected by other variables not included in this study. en_US
