PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL, PERAN ORANG TUA DAN MOTIVASI GURU TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA UPT SMP NEGERI 1 KEPULAUAN SELAYAR

Rosnayanti. 2021. The Effect of Social Media Use, the Role of Parents, and Teacher Motivation toward Student Achievement in UPT SMP Negeri 1 Selayar Islands Regency, supervised by H. Mashur Razak and H. Muh. Said. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of social media, the roleof parents, and teacher motivation on student achievement at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Selayar Islands. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The data used are primary data and secondary data generated from distributing questionnaires, observations and document records. The analytical tool used is statistical analysis, namely multiplelinear regression analysis with proof of the hypothesis through the t test to prove the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable partially and the f test to prove the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable simultaneously. There were 301 respondents who were the total number of students in grades VII, VIII, and IX at the UPT SMP Negeri 1 Selayar Islands. The results of this study prove that there is a positive and significant influencebetween the variables of the role of parents and teacher motivation on student achievement, but there is a non-positive and insignificant influence between the variable use of social media on student achievement. Thisstudy also provesthatthereis a positive and significant influence between the variables of social media use, the role of parents and teacher motivation simultaneously (simultaneously) on student achievement at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Kepulauan Selayar Regency. In this study it can also be seen that the teacher motivation variable is the most dominant variable affecting student achievement at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Selayar Islands.
