dc.description.abstract Darmawati. 2021. The Effect of Discipline, Motivation and Work Ethic toward Employee Performance of the Gowa Regency DPRD Secretariat, supervised by Saban Echdar and Muh.Said. This study aims to analyze (1) the effect of discipline, motivation, and work ethic partially and simultaneously on the performance of the Gowa Regency DPRD Secretariat employees (2) the most dominant variable affecting the performance of the Gowa Regency DPRD Secretariat employees. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach which aims to test the theory with realities in the field by measuring the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The sample of this study was 40 respondents who used saturated samples and multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results of hypothesis testing show that (1) discipline (X1) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of the t test value of 3.908 where the t test value is greater than the t table value, namely 1.30, and the sig value 0.000 where the significance value smaller than 0.05 (0.002<0.05), (2) motivation has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance, with a t test value of 1.519 where the t test value > the t table value 1.30, with a sig value 0.136> from 0.05 (3) work ethic has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a t test value of 3,465> from the t table value of 1.30, with a significant value of 0.001 <of 0.05. (4) work discipline, motivation and work ethic have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on employee performance, with the result of Fcount of 39.724 with a significant value of 0.000, where this significant value is less than the alpha value of 0.05, meaning the independent variable (discipline, motivation and work ethic) simultaneously affect the dependent variable (employee performance). This shows that the multiple regression model used is good. The calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.722, which means that 72.20% of the dependent variable (employee performance) can be explained by independent variables (discipline, motivation and work ethic), while the remaining 27.80% is explained by other variables outside the model in this research. en_US
