This study aims to analyze (1) the effect of motivation and competence partially on employee performance at the Jeneponto Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning (2) Motivation and competence simultaneously on employee performance at the Jeneponto Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (3) variables which one has the most dominant effect on employee performance at the Jeneponto Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Service. This research was conducted at the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning Jeneponto Regency. The sample selection in this study was carried out using the saturated sample method as many as 101 employees. Data collection methods used are questionnaires and document studies. The analytical method used is descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study conclude that (1) partially motivation and competence have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Jeneponto Regency. This means that an increase in motivation and competence can improve employee performance (2) simultaneously shows that the motivation variable (X1), and competence (X2) affect performance (Y) which means that an increase in motivation and competence will affect an increase in employee performance (3) partially shows that the motivational variable has a dominant effect on performance, this indicates that the greater the motivation, the higher the performance of employees at the Jeneponto Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Office. en_US
