Abstract:
This study was intended to determine the indirect effect of education and training on performance through the competence of Pangkep Regency Tourism and Culture Department employees, this study was conducted at Pangkep Regency Tourism and Culture Department employeesby taking 49 peopleas research samples. This research design uses survey research. Sampling of this study was carried out using a saturated sampling technique (census), The data analysis technique used is path analysis.The results showed that there is was a direct positive and significant influence on education and training on the competence employee, there is was a positive and significant effect directly on education and training on the performance of the employees, and there is an indirect and significant positive effect of education and training on performance through the competence of the staff of the Department of Tourism and Culture of Pangkep Regency.
